Yummy Deep Fried Oreos

When I think about the fair I think about all the different mouth watering foods I get to eat. One of the treats that comes to mind is of course fried Oreos. Yes, *wipes drool* I know sounds delicious right. There are no fairs around right now. But, the great thing about fried Oreos is that you can make them right in your own kitchen. Don't know how.. Keep reading...

Ingredients:

18 Oreos
1 cup pancake mix
2/3 cup of milk
1 1/2 teaspoon of vegetable oil
1 egg
oil to fry Oreos
Confectioner's sugar

Instructions:

1. Add oil to a large skillet or fryer. Line a plate or cookie sheet with paper towels.
2. In a bowl mix together the pancake mix, milk, egg, and vegatable oil. Stir until all lumps are gone and batter has formed.
3. Dip a few Oreos into the batter making sure to cover the entire oreo. Place teh Oreo into the hot grease and fry for 2-3 minutes or until the batter is golden.
4. Remove from grease with slotted spoon or tongs and transfer to paper towel-lined plate or cookie sheet.
5. Add Confectioner's sugar to your liking.
6. Enjoy :)

I made these a few years back. I haven't made them in forever until this past Sunday. They were so good I had to share with you guys. I hope you guys like it. Tell me what you think of it.

The Perfect Match Review

JB and I went to see The Perfect Match this past weekend. I had been seeing Terrance J and Lauren London and a few others advertise it on their Instagram pages a while back and added it to my list of movies to watch. Did I like the movie? Yes I actually did. Not that I thought I wouldn't, but I enjoyed it. I must admit certain scenes were a little awkward, but overall it was a good movie.

The movie has a pretty great cast. Here is a quick summary. Charlie (Terrance J) is the ultimate playboy. He is doing everything he has ever wanted, or in his words he is succeeding because he is "making money, driving a fast car, and hooking up with models." Charlie is a successful celebrity agent and on the side he has a passion for photography.

Charlie's sister Sherry (Paula Patton) feels that he is emotionally closed off due to the unresolved issues he has with the death of their parents. He has four friends who are all in relationships; Victor (Robert Riley) and Ginger (Lauren London) are childhood sweethearts and are planning their long awaited wedding, while Victor (Donald Faison) and his wife Pressie (Dascha Polanco) are trying to get pregnant. These gentleman have been friends since they were young. Although the fellas love Charlie they are ready to see their friend put his playboy ways behind and try a committed relationship. So whats the best way to do this, a bet of course.

They bet Charlie that he has to date a single woman exclusively until Victor's wedding. Charlie easily takes the best because he thinks that he won't get attached. Eva (Cassie) overhears Charlie discussing her and the bet with his friends. She leaves without giving him any play. However, the next day she calls him to meet for lunch. They are complete opposites and they agree to a no strings attached relationship. This wouldn't be a real romance movie if someone didn't fall for the other right.

Well, Eva and Charlie begin to spend time together and Charlie  begins to develop feelings for her. We see Charlie develop as an all around character because of his relationship with Eva. He begins to grow at his work place. We start to see that although he is the most valuable agent at his job, he actually hates it. Eva makes him promise to get his work published instead of only showing it through his Instagram. Charlie is at a fitting when he sees Eva trying on a wedding dress. He is stunned. He leaves and goes to a bar to drink his sorrows away. Eva meets him at his house to try to apologize and at that moment Charlie tells her he loves her. She tells him that its lust and that she is getting married. Charlie becomes miserable. His friends are waiting at his house for him to surprise him for his 30th birthday. Instead of being happy, Charlie snaps. He calls out his friends for the rough patches in their lives and tells them to leave. The next scene shows his sister coming to talk to him about what happened. He pushes her away as well. Eventually Charlie grows up and faces reality. He goes to his sister's job and apologizes to her for his rude behavior and they attempt to talk about his pain; he then shows up at the wedding rehearsal and his friends forgive him.

Charlie quits his job and pursues his passion of photography. He has a showing of his work. After everyone leaves, Eva walks in. She tells her that she heard about it through her husband and she came to check it out. They talk and she leaves. The movie ends with Charlie bumping into Ginger's friend who we saw at the beginning of the movie. This time Charlie isn't the playboy that he was at the beginning so we see them sitting down talking.

After the movie, JB and I were talking and he states that although he liked it he hated how it ended. We differ there. He felt that with the title being "The Perfect Match" it only made sense for Charlie and Eva to fall in love make a commitment and have a happily ever after.... I on the otherhand disagree. I don't mind the ending. I liked how the title "tricked" you.

This is why, I do think that they were the Perfect Match. Eva was perfect for Charlie because she made him love. She evoked feelings from him that he has alwasy been to afraid to show. She allowed him to be hurt. Why is this a good thing. I'm glad you asked, simply becuase from his hurt he grew. He was finally able to go visit his parents' grave and talk about what was bothering him and his feelings with his sister. He grew up and saw that his "rules" really weren't good at all and that they were only walls to protect him. She opened his eyes to see that he needed to step up and do what he wanted hence his career change and stepping up and speaking his mind (which got him fired). His hurt shows us viewers that karma is real. It happens to the best of us in ways that make us ache. It makes you fell like crap and it matures you when you let the process go. He grew because she was The Perfect Match.

Would I recommend the movie. I definitely would. So if you have seen it, tell me what did you think about the movie.

March Update and Friday Favorites # 7

For those that read my blog.... I apologize... I'll be the first to say that I have done a HORRIBLE job of being a consistent blogger. No excuses.. and it is definitely something that I plan to improve on, but let me update you..

I had an interview for a job and thankfully I got it. The same day as the interview I became sick for a few days. I moved back home with my mother. Initially, I didn't plan on living with her for a long period of time. However,  now things may be a little different. My sister booted me out of my room so I am in a smaller room with a smaller closet. It sucks, but I am making the best of it. I have storage bins and bookshelf galore in the room. I won't go into too much detail about the move back to my home (at least at this point). Just know it is an adjustment. I am waiting to hear back from graduate school as well as trying to see what adventures I can come up on this year. Thats pretty much a small update.....

So today's Friday Favorites are coming from

There are so many shows and movies that I want to watch on here. There are really a lot of TV shows it just seems I just never have the time. I mean really there is not enough time in the day even to do simple stuff like sit down and watch a few hours of Netflix without messing with the number of hours needed to sleep.

Anyway,

1. If your an old reader then you prolly remember when I started Grey's Anatomy. This is really a series that you cannot get enough of. All the characters all have drama going on. They all in some shape form depend on the others and let me not forget all the love birds. Although I would like to think that I am pretty far, I know I have a long way to go before completing the series.

2. One Tree Hill is the show that I started randomly one day when I wanted a change from Grey's Anatomy. I used to watch this show when I was in high school and Peyton, Brooke, Lucas, Nathan and Hailey were all grown with kids and careers. So it is really interesting to see it from the beginning and how they grew up into their adult characters.

3. Jane The Virgin... Not really sure how or exactly at what point I started watching this series. But I did. I believe season 3 is currently on TV; however, I haven't finished the 2 seasons on Netflix soo I'm of course behind. The seasons are short and I think I am really close to finishing.

4. Scandal... Let me just say I am sooooooooooooooo far behind on Scandal it is ridiculous. They are showing a new season on TV now and I swear I am like 2 seasons behind. Two seasons ago school and social activities got in the way of me catching it on Thursday nights and I told myself I would catch up soon. The bad thing is soon never came and now I am here 2 (maybe 3 i dunno) seasons behind. I know I am just misisng so much action and scandal it is ridiculous.

5. Orange is the New Black... I have seen season 1 and most of season 2. So I just need to attempt to watch season 3. When the new season aired, it wasn't something that I just had to see which is why I haven't even resumed watching from way back when.

There are wayyy more TV series that I would like to watch on Netflix which is why I really need to buckle down and finish at least 3 of the above series that I have already started. I hear people talking about so many good series and I get upset becuase I know I really don't have the time to watch and complete.

That is going to change. I'm not sure when exactly but at some point it will. It just has too.

So tell me what are your favorite series on Netflix right now?  If they aren't added to my list of "To Watch" I'm sure they will be.....

Friday Favorites #6

It's been a minute since I have posted a Friday Favorite so I thought I would start the month of February off right. Sometimes Friday Favorites are hard becuase not really catches my attention enought to really be a favorite. Is that weird? Okay well, any-who..... Friday Favorites coming right up...

1. The Wait....

So I haven't started reading the book yet, but I am so excited. On Monday JB was kind enough to pre-order the book for me. When I asked I told him he could consider it an early Valentines Day gift. I'm not sure if he agreed or not but I got the book. I'm really excited to read it.

2. One Tree Hill.....

This was a show I remember watching when I was in high school. I think it's the first show/movie I ever saw with Chad Michael Murray. He used to have this "thing" about him. When I first started watching I remember I stayed up until about 3/4 in the morning watching the show. I called my sister and told her she should watch it. I even told her I would wait and let her catch up so we could discuss it. Yea, I am clearly going to leave her becuase she has not moved from episode 4.

3. Kit Kat Minis...

So I am not sure why but lately I have been LOVING the Kit Kat Minis Chocolate bars. I mean sure Kit Kats have always been okay and if i really wanted one I'd get it. Chocolate is always a good choice, and I love it, but for a while now I haven't had a favorite. Well now, I do. I don't think I would enoy the regular size Kit Kats as much as I am enjoying these now. Literally the bite size pieces are perfection...

4. Walk-On......

So back in December a coworker had his farewell dinner at Walk-On. It was my first time eating at the restaurant. I order the Louisiana Combo Platter or something like that. It consisted of catfish, shrimp, waffle fries, hushpuppies, and a cup of etouffee. They weren't stingy with the portions either. I've also tried the Stuffed Burger, Bayou Pasta (twice) and the Cajundillas. Everytime someone mentins wanting to go out I bring up this place. Also their spinach dip and boneless wings and not to mention their Kreme Bread Pudding for all the doughnut and bread pudding lovers out there. So if this restaurant is near you and you haven't tried it.... I defintely suggest going.... Like ASAP

Gerard Cosmetics Review

I have been hearing a lot of talk about Gerard Cosmetics in the world of beauty. Many Youtubers have raved about this company. I have been on the Instagram account and of course fell in love with the pictures of the beauties wearing their lip products. Sooo I decided to go ahead and give it a shot. I purchased these lipsticks with my own money and I am not affiliated with Gerard Cosmetics. I am simply here to give my opinion on the product.

The package arrived in a simply black box with Gerard Cosmetics on the ends. Once opened the inside looked like what is pictured above.

They included a cute little message as well.

The products are covered with tissue paper and a cute GC sticker.

After you remove the sticker... viola... Your products are seen. I think the black and gold box is really cute. But what I like most....

I absolutely love the gold bullet like tubes. Yes, this shape is just like the MAC shape.... However, the color is what I really love.

1995, London Fog, Underground.

I purchased the above lipsticks as a sale pack for $20. The great thing about purchasing these lipsticks were not only the three for $20......... but I was also able to use a code in order to reduce my price. By using the code "GCSAVE" I was able to save $7 off my total price. Not to mention I received free shipping and handling. If you go on their Instagram account you will see that they almost always present us with a discount. I mean how can we say no to that...

Swatches :

Up close: Underground, 1995, London Fog (L to R)

Distant: Underground, 1995, London Fog

1. Underground... This lipstick has a Satin texture. First off, when I first applied this color the lipstick BROKE! That was very disappointing.(I will be emailing them about that). It is a light grey color that gives you a hint of pink in the swatch. On my lips it is more dusty/ashy nude. It is pretty light and I definitely have to apply it multiple times.  However, I think that a perfect liner would help to bring this color on my lips.

2. 1995.... This is the only Matte finish lipstick I ordered.  It is much more of an everyday color than the other 2 that I purchased. As I read about this lippie, I saw that it was inspired by the nude lips of the 90s. It shows up on my lips although I definitely do have to apply more than one coat if I want the true color to be seen. I would prefer it to go on a tad bit darker. As you can tell in the swatch above, it has a redish color to it but it still gives me a color that I could wear daily. 1995 is a matte; however, the length of time that I had it on (it was the last lipstick I put on and I kept it on while writing this post) it gave a matte look but a creamy feel and my lips did not feel dried out.

3. London Fog.... This lipstick also has a Satin texture. It is a cool dark grey color. As stated with the other 2, I had to apply this lipstick more than once to try and receive the full color. Once applied a few times the color is pretty. In my opinion it is a grey color with hmmm.. maybe a  hint of light purplish undertone.

Overall...
I don't think these lipsticks are really worth  $19.00 compared to Mac lipstick which is $17. However, I guess when you keep in mind that a discount can be used when purchasing these lipsticks....it really isn't all that bad (plus free shipping). I already stated how much I love the gold bullet packaging look. On the downside to that, I will say that the tube is very light weight and it does feel a little cheap. I received my lipsticks today; therefore, sad to say I cannot comment on how they last and feel throughout the day. I am ready to put on clothes and play around with these lipsticks to see if I can really enjoy them. I hate to say that I think they are overhyped when I haven't tried them on during a full day. So I won't comment either way.

Would I purchase anymore lip products from Gerard Cosmetics.... I love lipsticks so I'm not going to lie. Yes I would. Although, the lipsticks that I purchased didn't really give me the looks I expected... that is kind of to be expected sometimes. I didn't fall in love with either of the three colors I purchased. I saw many other colors in their lipsticks and liquid lipsticks that I would love to try out (especially some of their purple tones).

Have you tried any of their products? If so what do you think of them? What are your favorite lip colors? Let me know in the commnts below..

If I Won The PowerBall.....

I normally don't get into the lottery because I know my chances of winning are..... well nonexistent. Yesterday JB and I went ahead and played. Today the estimated drawng is up to 900,000,000. *inserts shock face* Like I said, I know I'm not going to win.. but I definitely will never win if I don't play right..

A while back it crossed my mind, "What would I do if I won the lottery?" Then I got to thinking about what I would spend my money on? Who would I give some to? What would be my first purchase?

I honestly don't know what my first purchase would be. I mean I feel like I would be in shock I wouldn't be able to spend anything for a while. Just enjoying the thought of having all that cash... like would just want to stare at it. Butttt... If I had to pick, I would say either a major shopping spree or purchasing a new car. Typical answer huh....

I thought I would create a list (in no particular order) of the top 20 things I think I would do with the money.

1. Purchase myself a new car (or 2...maybe 3)
2. Money put back to build myself a house
3. Pay for graduate school
4. Money to my sister (car, tuition, savings, spending)
5. Mom
6. Dad
7. Brother (and kids)
8. Aunts and uncles
9. Cousins
10. Friends
11. Church
12. Scholarship/ College
13. Non-profit Organization
14. Franchise
15. Purchase property
16. Shopping spree
17. Savings
18. Money back for my future kids
19. Money back for a future wedding
20. Investments

I wouldn't even know where to begin spending money. I mean it is a lot of money; however, spending carelessly would definitely make it leave fast. I do know that winning is life changing with advantages and disadvantages....

So tell me what would you do if you were lucky enough to win
the lottery??

Gentlewoman and I Am That Girl....

I have been doing pretty good with my reading. I have not been keeping track on GoodReads, but I have been checking out books from the library and downloading a few on my phone as well. I decided that I wanted to get more into "self-help" books. I think reading these self help books could be pretty beneficial in the long run. I searched on Amazon trying to find any book to start my "self-help" journey off. Let me just say that I ended up having a sheet of paper full of book titles because a lot of books caught my eye. I my even post the list in case any of you readers are looking for some interesting books to read. There were many books that I came across that I have been wanting to purchase just never did. I added those to the list as well. My plan is to compose a list and at least purchase and read 10 off of the list. It will be hard because grad school is right around the corner and that requires a lot of reading, but I am hoping I can do it.

I heard a lot of great things about Gentlewoman: Etiquette For A Lady, From A Gentleman. When I decided that I would purchase a few books I knew this had to be one of them. I know that I am probably one of the last people to purchase and read this book. But that is okay better late than never right... With this being the first book on my list.. I am really excited about what is to come. I have my pens and highlighter ready to start off this book.

The next book I will get into is I Am That Girl. This book was chosen at random. I read the reviews on Amazon and decided to purchase. This is not a book that I have seen floating through my Instagram feed or even the Explore page. This book was really chosen 1) because of the title I Am That Girl: How to Speak Your Truth, Discover Your Purpose, and #bethatgirl ad 2) the reviews pretty much all praised the book. Good enough for me.

2016 Words of the Year

Hello 2016..!

2016 is going to be a great year for me. I am claiming it. I know that it will be crazy and hectic but I plan to enjoy every step of it. I'm really hoping to make this year a major year of growth. As I stated in my last post (2015 Review) I really think 2015 was my foundation so I am ready for this journey of growth.

This year I decided to pick a word to focus on for the entire year. Being that I keep talking about growth, you would think that would be the word...... and you are correct. I couldn't pick just one word. So I decided on two. Growth and Success. These are my two words of 2016. Why might you asked?

I love this quote.!

Growth- Well this one is kind of self explanatory. I will be 24 this year. 24 OMG.. That is one year away from 25. Like I am getting so old and the time is just flying by. I don't expect to have everything figured out and quite frankly I don't think I even want to.  I know that is not what my 20s are meant for. However, I am looking to continue on the right track. I am looking to progress in every area of my life. I know that by doing so I will have to get out of my comfort zone. There will be a lot of things/risks I will be scared to take but in the end I know growth will come. There are a lot of things, people, and situations that I feel I am sure to outgrow once I begin this journey. Somethings will be hard to let go others won't. I can accept the loss because I can see the bigger picture. When you know what you want and what you are working for, letting go becomes a little easier. In my head I have this vision of how I see my life or want my life. I know that life will not come to me if I don't grow into it.

Success- This is a term that varies from person to person. When I was younger I would have defined success by whatever made my parents happy. Now that I am older..... that is not the case. Success to me is whatever I accomplish that makes me happy and makes my life more complete. I am striving to achieve goals that I have set for myself as well as exceeding certain expectations. Success can be something as small as writing in my journal everyday for 2 months or something as big as graduating from graduate school. I am looking forward to all successes big and small.

I was really enjoying 2015 and I do know that in 2016 I will not always get it right. I do know that I am going to mess up and perhaps even disappoint myself and a few others. I might not get it right the first time. However, I am sure I will eventually get it right.

2015: 365 of 365

2015 Review

For me 2015 started off rocky and at the end it was a little tricky. Overall however, 2015 has been a pretty good year. I can honestly say that it has taught me many lessons that I plan to carry into 2016. 2015 has been a great foundation year for me as far as growth is concerned. I really believe it has been a time of preparation. I believe that in 2015 I began a journey of growth and self understanding. I do know that my journey is not over and I am even more excited to see what 2016 has in store.

Here is a short list of the few major accomplishments of 2015:
I graduated college.
I got a boyfriend.
I created this blog.
I made a move to Shreveport and got my own apartment.
I went to my first NFL game.

I don't partake in the "New Year, New Me" or the "New Year's Resolution". I do however believe in simply creating goals for yourself. Yes, people there is a difference. In 2015, I created and posted my 101 in 1001 which was pretty much taken from my bucket list  Alongside that, I have other short term and long term goals scratched on sheets of paper waiting to be organized and rewritten. In 2015, I created a list of things I wanted/needed to accomplish and I succeeded. In 2016, I plan to do the exact same thing (which I will probably post). I have also came up with other ways to remember and hopefully reflect back on 2016.

All in all I am praying for a great year. I am praying that my life continues to receive blessings and that I am prepared for the changes that God is going to place in my life. I do understand that certain habits, people, desires, wants, etc will get lost in this time of growth. I am okay with that.

2016 is about significantly growing into my success.
I'll just leave this right here......
 Happy New Year...

7 Lessons to Learn While Being Single

Not really, but I loved this image.

These days nobody seems to want to want to be single. I can honestly say that before I met JB I was actually happy being single. I used that time to reflect, mingle, have fun, and prepare myself as best as I could.

I just don't get why most people despise being single. Don't get me wrong, I do get in some instances you do want that male companion. You want a significant other to share your happy moments, lean on their shoulder in sad times, and someone to just show you love.

However, there are so many perks to being single that in my opinion, it can definitely outweigh the bad. Being single is nothing but a lesson. Being single teaches you more about yourself than a relationship will....well at least on a different level.

1. The most important lesson when single is to learn or remember to love yourself. It sounds like such an easy concept; however, it is something that many people don't do. Some think that loving someone else will make them love themselves, or having someone love them makes up for the lack of personal love. It doesn't! Nobody can love you more than you love yourself. I know it feels good to be loved, but a void will always be present when you don't love yourself. And if that is the case.... then you are in trouble. I mean how can you honestly love someone, and not have the strength to love yourself first.

2. Let go of the past. It is easy to regret what did happen or "what if" what didn't happen. Unfortunately, it is over. Let go and leave it in the past. You come up with these scenarios thinking "if only". But let's be frank we can "if only" all day long, it's not happening. The moment is over. You reliving the past is not helping you to be happy in the place you are in life. The best thing to do is learn from the situations of the past and move on. Think of all the new opportunities you will soon face. Now prepare yourself for that.

3. Let the list go. I'm guilty of the list as well. When I was younger I had a list with the qualities of the guy I wanted. It didn't cross my mind that I would ever have to do without some of these qualities. Now that I am much older and more mature, I know that that is the farthest thing from the truth. Don't get me wrong, have standards. But a lot of your list you need to let go of. Remember, you  may not meet every quality a guy has on his list either. I mean do you even meet the things on your list.

4. Learn to be happy. There are plenty of people in a relationship and are unhappy. Relationships don't guarantee happiness.

5.Work on your life. You want a man who can bring plenty to the table, but what are you bringing? Don't sit at a table in which you have nothing to offer. Work on yourself and your wants, dreams, desires. You both should be so individually determined that you inspire each other.

6  Single = Mingle. You won't find a guy you want or any guy for that matter by being cooped up in the house. Grab your friends, raid your closet/go shopping, get pretty, go out and mingle. Will you meet Mr. Right the first night? Uhhh prolly not. But don't get discouraged. The first few guys may not do anything for you or they can make great friends. Beware of where you go to mingle. This could determine the kind of guy you will attract. You don't want to find just any guy, so remember to keep your standards.

7. You won't be single forever. Yes, I know you have been single for 3 years and it feels like 30. I know you are thinking that you will forever be single, but you won't. It is only a temporary situation giving you plenty of time to figure yourself out. Make the time you are single worth it.

Being single is a great experience. Everyone should take their single status and make the best of it. Being single is the time that we can learn the most about ourselves. It is the time that we can do things that we have always wanted to do. We can accomplish many goals and prepare ourselves for that relationship that we have always dreamed of. Relationships are not an easy task. The great ones  require a lot of time and work.   Remember you are not the only single person in the world. There are plenty of others like you. It's okay.

"Being single is the time to prepare you for love."

Initial Review:Queen Plus Hair Products Co., Ltd- Brazilian Virgin Hair

So this post was technically suppose to be up not only a few days ago but also in video form. Being that this is a hair review I felt it would be better as a video. However, videos are not my strong suit at this point and will definitely take a little bit longer to learn to do.So the best I could do was these few pictures and a written description on my thoughts of this hair.

I ordered hair for my graduation which was on Friday (the 18th). I was ordering the hair pretty late in the game so I really needed something that was going to be here in a short amount of time as well as some quality hair. I didn't have 400 that I was comfortable spending on hair. (Yea I know I know you get what you pay for.) I have seen reviews and heard of a few people who have ordered hair from Aliexpress. I have seen some good and some bad. I knew coming in it could be a hit and miss ordeal.

I literally searched and searched. I decided that I wanted straight hair instead of my original thought which was body wave. I knew that I wanted a closure this time. I decided to go with a three part closure to give me a little variety. Looking for vendors who gave me a three part closure as well as straight hair helped me in narrowing down my choices, but I still had many choices.

Now, I'm very nervous about this three part closure because the few times in the past that I have had a sew-in, I had my hair out in the front and had a nice size bang. I like to have something to cover part of my forehead.

My choice:

Vendor: Queen Plus Hair Products Co., Ltd.
Title: Brazilian Virgin Hair with Closure 4 Bundles with Closure 7A Unprocessed Human Hair Weave Brazilian Straight Hair with Closure
Seller: Mary Su

- The first thing that got me with this hair company was that they offered a three part closure and they had a 10 day delivery guarantee. I ordered my hair on November 30 and I received it via FedEx on Friday December 4. Great timing..

Let's talk about the hair itself..

The hair is soft and I have ran my fingers through it and have yet to pull out any strands. The hair does have a smell but it isn't an "Oh my God this is unbearable" kinda smell. A quick was would definitely fix the problem. My first reaction to the closure was that it was short. The hair combined showed that it would give a full head.

So far I have no complaints with this hair.

Crest 3D White Strips 1 Hour Express

This post is to do a review on the Crest 3D White Strips 1 Hour Express:

In the past my go to white strips were the Crest White Strip Classic. I would use them one or twice a year depending on how I felt my teeth were looking. I could always see results.
I started using the Crest White Strips when I got my braces removed back in 2011. I just wanted something to spruce up my teeth since I had been brace face for so long.

It has been a little minute since I have used white Strips. I was in Wal Mart when I saw the Crest 3D White Strips 1 Hour Express. With my graduation coming up, I felt my teeth could use a little umph when I'm walking across that stage.
These are the individual strips. Each pack contains a top and a bottom.

The strips are simply to use. The strips are not to be placed on freshly brushed teeth. Beware that for some they feel a little pain when using this product. I'm really hoping this product gives my teeth a little more life. Not that my teeth are just dull and yellow... Here is a pic of me, while my teeth. No filter added.

Hopefully I see some results and I am able to come back with a good report.

12 Dates of Christmas

So I intended to type and publish this post last night, however, I was feeling really sick so I ate and went to bed. Today is December 12 and it make a few months that JB and I have been dating. Exciting right!!

Any who, a while back I decided that we would do something for our first Christmas as a couple. We were both in the Christmas spirit (our Christmas tree was put up a little bit before Thanksgiving).

I came up with the idea to do 12 Dates of Christmas. This is no way shape form or fashion my idea. This will technically be our first Christmas together and I think it is safe to say that we are both really excited. I typed him up a pretty little letter and attached to the letter were 13 dates. Today didn't really count but it did since it marked us making a few months as boyfriend and girlfriend.
In my opinion, the 12 Dates of Christmas makes Christmas more about giving gifts. We all know how stressful giving gifts to your love ones can be. It's not a competition, but no one wants to give the other a gift that they will not love. So we think extra hard and spend those extra bucks just to make sure it is the best. 12 Dates of Christmas is about love, laughter, fun, cuddling, and just enjoying each others company.

With my graduation coming up and all the preparations I have to do and his work schedule can change at any moment, our 12 Dates are a little out of wack. Buttttt the point and the meaning is still there. SOOO down below is the list that I came up with. I told him he could remove, flip, add, etc. to the list, but he pretty much left the list as it was. This list is as follows:

December 2015:
12- Let's go eat together to celebrate 5 months
13- Cracker Barrel and football
14- Let's bake holiday cookies and each write a letter of Thanks to wrap up and put under the tree.
15- Day to relax
16- Christmas movies and dinner
17- Basketball tournament in support of your sister
18- Celebrating Drecia's GRADuation
19- Christmas lights in Natchitoches
20- Church then lunch then Painting with a Twist
21- Find a meal on Pinterest and cook it
22- Netflix Christmas movies
23-Sleep over and build gingerbread houses
24- Christmas Eve- Christmas Breakfast; My family's Christmas Eve tradition
25- Christmas Day-Christmas Breakfast, Christmas Rounds

Uhhhh... This is not exactly 12 . Lol but you get the gist. I'm just excited to get to have a little Holiday fun. If you have done 12 Dates of Christmas please share your holiday fun with me. If not, think about it, there is still time.

St. Louis Rams Game

So if you are new to the blog...  HELLO!!!

Last recently posted my 101 in 1001 and I am happy to say that I marked off a goal on my list. On Friday I posted in my Friday Favorites that JB and I were heading to St. Louis.

Our hotel gave us a great view of The St. Louis Arch also known as The Gateway Arch. This is a 630- foot tall Arch. According to the website, this is the tallest man-made monument in the United States. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to take the journey to the top of this monument but maybe next time. It was just nice to fall asleep and wake up with this right outside my window.

The picture may not do the pizza much justify sorry.
When we came to St. Louis back in October JB bragged about the Imo's Pizza. When we arrived on Friday night I was starving. Lucky for me with a touch of a button on the hotel phone I was able to get Imo's delivered. It was pretty good... or I was really starving.

We went to St. Louis to attend an NFL game (checks off lists). His favorite team is the St. Louis Rams. I was just glad to go to an NFL game. We went to the game, ate, and I talked smack. He was a tad bit frustrated they were losing.

Below is the video of kick off.

As you  can tel I was really excited to attend my first NFL game. It was even better because it was JB's first time as well. So we got to experience that together. I got many compliments on my Rams sweater that I ordered from NFL.com.
